ศรีลังกาเดือด! ผู้ประท้วงบุกสำนักนายกฯ หลังปธน.หลบหนีออกนอกประเทศ

ผู้ประท้วงหลายพันคนบุกไปยังสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรีศรีลังกาในกรุงโคลอมโบ ไม่กี่ชั่วโมงหลังจากที่ประธานาธิบดีโคฐาภยะ ราชปักษะ เดินทางหลบหนีไปต่างประเทศ สืบเนื่องจากแรงกดดันให้เขาลงจากตำแหน่งเพื้อแสดงความรับผิดชอบต่อวิกฤติเศรษฐกิจของศรีลังกา

รายงานระบุว่า ปธน.ราชปักษะ ได้เดินทางไปยังมัลดีฟส์เมื่อช่วงเช้าตรู่วันพุธ โดยใช้เครื่องบินทหารเดินทางออกนอกประเทศพร้อมกับภรรยา ท่ามกลางความโกรธแค้นของผู้ประท้วงที่ต่างบุกเข้าไปในทำเนียบประธานาธิบดีตั้งแต่ต้นสัปดาห์ทีผ่านมา

การที่ปธน.ราชปักษะหลบหนีออกนอกประเทศครั้งนี้ถือเป็นการสิ้นสุดระบอบการปกครองของตระกูลราชปักษะที่ครองอำนาจในศรีลังกามานานเกือบสองทศวรรษ

อย่างไรก็ตาม การลาออกของปธน.ราชปักษะมิได้บรรเทาความโกรธแค้นของบรรดาผู้ประท้วงลงแต่อย่างใด และพากันบุกไปที่สำนักงานของนายกรัฐมนตรีรานิล วิกรมสิงเห ผู้ซึ่งได้รับการแต่งตั้งจากราชปักษะให้เป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีรักษาการ

ผู้ประท้วงหลายร้อยคนปะทะกับเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจที่สำนักงานนายกฯ ในกรุงโคลัมโบ เพื่อเรียกร้องให้นายกฯ รานิล ลงจากตำแหน่ง มีรายงานการยิงแก๊สน้ำตาใส่ผู้ประท้วงที่พยายามบุกเข้าไปด้านในสำนักงานพร้อมตะโกนขับไล่นายกฯ รานิล และปธน.ราชปักษะ และมีรายงานว่าผู้ประท้วงบางส่วนบุกเข้าไปในสถานีโทรทัศน์ของทางการศรีลังกา

ด้านนายกฯ รานิล มีแถลงการณ์ทางโทรทัศน์ว่า เขาจะยังคงทำหน้าที่ต่อไปจนกว่าจะมีรัฐบาลชุดใหม่ และว่า "ผู้ประท้วงต้องการขัดขวางกระบวนการในรัฐสภาทั้งหมด แต่เราจำเป็นต้องเคารพในรัฐธรรมนูญ" พร้อมยืนยันว่าได้มีการแต่งตั้งคณะกรรมาธิการที่ประกอบด้วยตำรวจและทหารระดับสูงเพื่อทำหน้าที่นำความสงบเรียบร้อยกลับคืนสู่ประเทศแล้ว

จนถึงขณะนี้ ปธน.ราชปักษะยังมิได้ยืนยันการลาออกอย่างเป็นทางการ แต่ทางโฆษกรัฐสภาระบุว่า ปธน.ราชปักษะแจ้งกับตนว่าจะยื่นใบลาออกภายในวันพุธนี้

ขณะที่มีรายงานจากสื่อบางแห่งชี้ว่า สาเหตุที่ปธน.ราชปักษะยังไม่ยอมสละตำแหน่งก็เพราะต้องการได้รับสิทธิคุ้มครองทางกฎหมายจากการถูกดำเนินคดีจนกว่าจะเดินทางออกไปนอกประเทศเรียบร้อยแล้ว

ข่าวการหลบหนีออกนอกประเทศของปธน.ราชปักษะ ได้สร้างความยินดีแก่ประชาชนจำนวนมากในกรุงโคลอมโบ ในขณะที่ผู้ประท้วงบางส่วนต่างไม่พอใจที่ปธน.หลบหนีไปประเทศอื่น เพราะต้องการนำตัวเขามาดำเนินคดีในประเทศมากกว่า

ทั้งนี้ รัฐสภาศรีลังกาจะลงมติเลือกประธานาธิบดีคนใหม่ในวันที่ 20 กรกฎาคมนี้ รวมทั้งจัดตั้งคณะรัฐบาลขึ้นใหม่ขึ้นมาบริหารประเทศด้วย
