เฮอร์ริเคน 'มิลตัน' รุนเเรงระดับ 4 จ่อเข้ารัฐฟลอริดา

ศูนย์เฮอร์ริเคนแห่งชาติของสหรัฐฯ ระบุว่าตอนกลางและตอนเหนือของฟลอริดาอาจมีน้ำท่วม 15 เซนติเมตรถึง 1 ฟุต แต่จะมีบางพื้นที่ที่น่าจะรับน้ำฝนสูงกว่านั้น

คาดว่าเฮอร์ริเคนจะพัดข้ามรัฐฟลอริดา เข้ามหาสมุทรแอตเเลนติกวันพฤหัสบดี โดยยังคงมีความรุนเเรงเป็นเฮอร์ริเคน

ทางด้านประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐฯ โจ ไบเดน เขาเร่งเร้าให้ประชาชนอพยพในฟลอริดาออกจากพื้นที่ ผ่านคำแถลงจากทำเนียบขาวที่กรุงวอชิงตัน

ทั้งนี้ ผู้นำสหรัฐฯ ยกเลิกแผนเดินทางสัปดาห์นี้ ไปยังเยอรมนีและเเองโกลา เพื่อกำกับดูเเลการรับมือเฮอร์ริเคนในสหรัฐฯ

ผู้ว่าการรัฐฟลอริดา รอน เดอซานติส เรียกพายุลูกนี้ว่าเป็น 'อสูรกาย' หรือ 'monster' และให้ชาวฟลอริดาติดตามรายงานอากาศอย่างใกล้ชิดและทำตามคำสั่งอพยพ

เขากล่าวว่ารัฐฟลอริดาพร้อมที่จะนำทหารกำลังสำรอง 8,000 คนเข้าช่วยประชาชนในเรื่องการกู้ภัยและฟื้นฟูพื้นที่

ก่อนหน้ามิลตัน เฮอร์ริเคนเฮลีนเพิ่งพัดเข้ารัฐฟลอริดาเมื่อสองสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว ซึ่งเดอซานติสกล่าวเมื่อวันอังคารว่าเจ้าหน้าที่นำเศษสิ่งของที่ถูกพัดทำลายโดยเฮลีนปริมาณ 1,300 คันรถออกจากพื้นที่ในช่วง 48 ชั่งโมง เพื่อเป็นการป้องกันความเสียหายและอันตรายที่อาจเกิดเพิ่มขึ้นตามมา
