Weekend With VOA Celebrates Halloween - 2004-12-01

Join Khun Chanida as she celebrated Halloween in New Jersey. Halloween originated from a Celtic celebration dating back over 2000 years ago. October 31st was the day when spirits and ghosts roamed the earth in search of bodies to possess. So, the Celts built bonfires and dressed in costumes--the costumes we still use today, trick-or-treating around neighborhoods for candy and fun.

Also in this week's show, Khun Chamroen reviews "The Grudge" starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jason Behr. The "Top 5 Films" of the week are covered here, as well.

This week's music selection is "The Addams Family" theme song. The VOA staff had a wonderful time putting this show together for you, and we hope you'll enjoy listening, too!
