15,630 Thai listeners responded to the June 2003 Thai Service 15th Anniversary Celebration of becoming a medium wave feed service (the service began its short-wave broadcasts in 1942).
800 lucky winners received gifts such as VOA alarm clocks, key chains, pens, softside briefcases, polo shirts, and VOA caps.
Technology rules! The service received 3916 emails, which equals 25% of the total entries. And 11% of those came directly to the Thai Service web page.
The email drawing was held on July 3rd in Washington, the ‘snail mail’ drawing was held in Bangkok on July 11.
