สุดสัปดาห์หลังการประกาศรายชื่อภาพยนต์เข้าชิงรางวัลลูกโลกทองคำประจำปี 2013 มีภาพยนต์ซึ่งได้รับการเสนอชื่อชิงรางวัลหลายประเภทที่สุดไต่อันดับขึ้นมา แต่ตรงอันดับ 5 ยังคงเป็น Life of Pi เรื่องการใช้ชีวิตร่วมกันอยู่ในเรือชูชีพระหว่างหนุ่มเรือแตกชาวอินเดียกับเสือลายเบงกอล

แต่ที่ร่วงหล่นจากฟ้าจากตำแหน่งที่เคยครองเมื่อสุดสัปดาห์ที่แล้วมาประคองตัวอยู่ตรงที่ 4 คือ Skyfall การหวนกลับสู่หน้าที่ของสายลับเจมส์ บอนด์ 007 หลังจากที่ M ซึ่งเป็นผู้บังคับบัญชามีปัญหาเพราะทำแฟ้มลับหายไป

ส่วนที่ได้รับแรงส่งขยับขึ้นเป็นที่ 3 คือ Lincoln ประวัติชีวิตในช่วงสี่เดือนสุดท้ายของอดีตประธานาธิบดี Abraham Lincoln ของสหรัฐฯ โดยหนังเรื่องนี้เพิ่งได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัล Golden Globe ของปี 2013 ในสาขาต่างๆ มากที่สุด

และที่ยังสามารถรักษาตำแหน่งไว้ได้อย่างเหนียวแน่นตรงอันดับ 2 เป็นการ์ตูนแอนนิเมชั่นเกี่ยวกับตัวละครต่างๆ ซึ่งเป็นขวัญใจของเด็กๆ ทั่วโลก นับตั้งแต่ Jack Frost หรือแจ๊ค เทพแห่งหิมะ จนถึง Santa Clause ในเรื่อง Rise of the Guardians
