ผู้นำสหรัฐทั้งฝ่าย Republican และ Democrat ใกล้จะหาข้อสรุปได้ในเรื่องงบประมาณแล้ว มีรายงานว่าข้อตกลงของทั้งฝ่ายเริ่มเห็นเป็นรูปเป็นร่างแล้วในวันอังคารแม้ว่ายังมีอีกหลายจุดสำคัญที่ต้องพูดคุยกันก่อน ขณะนี้ทั้งสองฝ่ายกำลังคุณถึงเพดานรายได้ครัวเรือนที่ต้องเจอกับการขึ้นภาษีว่าควรอยู่ระดับใด

บริษัทกองทุนขนาดใหญ่ Cerberus Capital Management กำลังจะขายบริษัทปืนที่กองทุนเป็นเจ้าของชื่อ Freedom Group ซึ่งเป็นผู้ผลิตปืนรุ่น Bushmaster ที่ใช้ในการสังหารเด็กและเจ้าหน้าที่ที่โรงเรียนประถม Sandy Hook ด้าน WalMart ของสหรัฐซึ่งเป็นบริษัทค้าปลีกที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลกถอนรายการปืน Bushmaster ออกจากรายการสินค้าที่ขายบน Internet แล้ว

Apple ขาย iPhone 5 ในจีนได้มากกว่าสองล้านเครื่องช่วงสามวันแรกที่วางจำหน่ายซึ่งเป็นสถิติใหม่ ขณะที่นักวิเคราะห์จากธนาคาร Morgan Stanley คาดการณ์ว่ายอดขาย iPhone ในไตรมาสสุดท้ายของปีน่าจะอยู่ที่ 19 ล้านเครื่องมากกว่าปีก่อน 33%

ส่งท้ายด้วยข่าวของ Instagram สื่อออนไลน์ในเครือ Facebook ที่คนใช้ถ่ายภาพและแชร์ภาพ ซึ่งจะเป็นนโยบายด้านข้อมูลผู้ใช้ โดยที่หลังจากวันที่ 16 มกราคม บริษัทที่โฆษณาบน Facebook จะสามารถเข้าถึงข้อมูลส่วนตัวผู้ใช้ และ Instagram ขอสงวนสิทธิ์ใช้รูปของผู้ใช้ในการโฆษณาด้วย
