Weekend With VOA Covers Working To Prevent Alzheimer's - 2004-08-19

Khun Prabhassara investigates research that claims that people who engage in mentally challenging work may be less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease. Researchers in Ohio found that mentally demanding jobs increase brain cell activity, thus reducing the probability of developing Alzheimer's in 350 people over 60. Further studies are needed to establish a concrete link between work conditions and the disease.

Brazil is using DNA science to create a 'Super Coffee' that will double the country's coffee crop and cut production costs by 20%.

Also in this show, Khun Jesda, Khun Prabhassara, and Khun Chamroen review the new movie "Princess Diaries 2" and play music from the movie by the legendary singer Julie Andrews.

The broadcasters enjoyed putting together this show, and are sure that you will like it too! Join us for more all week here at VOA Thai!
